Special Needs Divorce
Though I was in banking for 17 years, I spent many more years parenting. I have 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy. The middle child, Nicole, has Down Syndrome. After 35 years of raising kids, the last thing I had ever expected was to get divorced. Separation when all your children are grown, and of which one adult has special needs, presents a different kind of legal case. When I first started, and did much wrong, I had no idea what was going to be needed. This journey has been rough but being on the other side of it has been so rewarding. I look forward to sharing the ongoing decisions that finally led to doing the right thing for me.
